Frederick Stubbs Carpark Upgrade

City of Wanneroo is seeking feedback regarding proposed concept plan to upgrade the coastal carpark and toilet block adjacent to Frederick Stubbs Park.
Historically, there have been coastal erosion issues experienced with the existing coastal carpark adjacent Frederick Stubbs Park in Quinns Rocks. The City recently completed upgrade works to the groynes adjacent to this carpark to improve erosion protection in this area. As a result, the existing degraded carpark and the old toilet block will need to be retreated in land and redesigned accordingly. The estimated project construction cost is approximately $6.115 million.

Quinns Rocks Caravan Park

The community survey for the future of the former Quinns Rocks Caravan Park site is now closed.  This concludes the second phase of the community engagement process.

Survey results are now being analysed and will be presented to Council in the coming months.

The Question/Answer document, which was updated throughout the engagement period, will continue to be updated with any new information that arises.

The interactive map showing the ecotourism accommodation, café and event space proposal is also closed for comment. However, it can still be viewed by clicking on the below link.

Yanchep Rail Extention

Flora management
The designated rail corridor has been largely cleared of native vegetation in some sections, however, some clearing will be needed for the section north of Pipidinny Road. These works will proceed under strict conditions imposed as part of the environmental approval process.
Fauna management
The project will include a fauna underpass through the Alkimos Parks and Recreation reserve, and three fauna bridges in the Bush Forever site (between Eglinton and Yanchep). Both the underpass and bridges will ensure animal movements are not isolated to one side of the rail.
During construction, before any clearing begins, a fauna trapping and relocation program will be undertaken. Relocation will be undertaken by a verified specialist, and fencing will be erected as soon as possible to prevent the movement of fauna into the works area.
